Trader Joe’s Haul and Breakfast

I recently made my maiden voyage to Trader Joe’s. Is December not the best time to break your Trader Joe’s seal? I really had to hold back. I tried to buy a lot of healthy items that I would eat for breakfast and lunch while working from home. However, I also splurged on some sweet treats.

I bought all of our kids’ teachers Belgian Truffle Ballotin boxes, and a box for the family. Other sweet treats included mini iced gingerbread cookies and decked out Christmas tree cookies. My favorite items purchased were the Holiday Vegetable Hash, Turkey Cranberry Apple Salad (I ate the entire container in one sitting), Avocado Tzatziki Dip, Spiced Chai Black Tea Concentrate, and Hand Twisted Cinnamon Sugar Bread.

Let’s circle back to the Holiday Vegetable Hash. This changed my boring breakfast routine! I often throw afew frozen veggies in a pan and add 2 eggs and scramble. I usually add a few splashed of sriracha – nothing too exciting. The Trader Joe’s Holiday Vegetable Hash has so much flavor! It’s seasoned with rosemary, sage, and parsley. One container lasted me 4-5 days. I sauted some of the veggies in olive oil. then scrammbled in 2 eggs. The flavor of the hash is so incredible that I didn’t have to add anything else! Add in a chai tea latte using the concentrate and suddenly breakfast is a lot less boring.

I cannot wait to get back to Trader Joe’s to pick up some of what I believe to be my new staples!
